Pentagon removes climate change from strategy document

The Pentagon has removed all references to climate change from its National Defense Strategy document that sets the direction and priorities of the U.S. military, per HuffPost, which says it's still unclear when DoD will release the document in full.

Why it matters: This is the first update to the policy since 2008, HuffPost reports. The move aligns with President Trump's hardline stance on climate change and the efforts he made to rollback Obama-era policies on climate change. Last December, the White House removedclimate change from its new national security strategy.
