Angola: Agreement to Reduce Climate Change Effects in Cuvelai Basin Signed

A memorandum to mitigate the effects of climate changes in Cuvelai basin, southern Cunene Province, was signed last Thursday, in Luanda, by the Environment Ministry and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The project, dubbed "Promotion of development resilient to climate and reinforcement of adaptation capacity to face disaster risks in the hydrographical basin of Cuvelai river", will be materialised through the agreement that was signed by the Angolan Environment minister, Fátima Jardim, and the resident representative of the UNDP in Angola, Paollo Balladeli.
