Extreme Climate Change Causing Food Limitations in South Africa
South African Medical Association chairperson, Mzukisi Grootboom, says with every extreme rise in temperature there is the unusual climate experience - severe heat, flooding, drought and crop failures as well as limitation in food and nutrition. Speaking on Morning Live, Grootboom says climate change affects those in vulnerable areas such as Sub-Saharan Africa and some parts of South East Asia. "It’s the poorest of the poor that are mostly affected by this," says Grootboom.
